Using Primary Sources, A Tutorial for Educators

Jessica Steytler moved (back) to Boston after an absence of 21 years in order to attend Simmons GSLIS. It's been ten years since then and she has enjoyed expanding her knowledge-base of many topics, some of them even include library science. Currently Jessica is the archivist at the Congregational Library & Archive, located on Beacon Hill, Boston. She teaches workshops offered by the library, Research 101 for Church Historians, as well as overseeing volunteers and Simmons interns. Among her responsibilities include maintaining the web site, overseeing and implementing digital projects, assisting colleagues with the on-going catalog automation, answering reference questions, improving access to collections, and sometimes even processing new collections.

When not at work, Jessica is riding her motorcycle, reading, knitting, bicycling, inventing new clay projects, subverting the dominant paradigm, and cooking. She tries not to do them all at the same time.
