Kim Martin received a bachelor degree from UMass-Lowell in Music
Business and Vocal Performance, a Paralegal Certificate from Northeastern, and her MLS from Simmons. She has worked with trademarks, patents, and copyright resources for nearly ten years, and is currently working at Goodwin Procter as a reference librarian.

Before working at Goodwin Procter, she worked in an Intellectual Property law firm for four years; prior to that she worked for two years at Thomson & Thomson doing trademark searching. Kim has taught intellectual property workshops at Simmons, social law library and was a speaker at the 2008 AALL conference in a panel discussion on patent research.
