Cataloging Photographs for Librarians and Archivists: A Review of Current Standards and Practices

Martha Mahard, a visiting assistant professor at Simmons, teaches photographic archives and photographic preservation. Mahard has more than three decades of professional experience with the Harvard College Library System, including work in photography and visual collections at the Fine Arts Library, visual resources at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and the Harvard Theatre Collection of The Houghton Library. She has written numerous publications and presentations in the field of photographic archives and visual information. Mahard received her D.A. and M.S. from the Simmons Graduate School of Library and Information Science.
