Wendy Marcus Gogel is Digital Projects and Outreach Senior Librarian in the Office for Information Systems, Harvard University Library. Managing Harvard's Library Digital Initiative Challenge Grants program since 1999, Wendy coordinates digital library project planning, outreach, and reporting activities. She provides guidance to University staff during all phases of grant management from conception through completion. She also serves as a liaison between technical staff and collections curators to establish functional requirements for systems development.

Wendy has an MS from Simmons College Graduate School of Library and Information Science where she concentrated in management of visual collections and archives. Prior to working at Harvard, she was a Museum Specialist for the Olmsted Archives at the Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site. Previously, she worked in special collections at Boston Public Library, first as Apprentice Paper Conservator in the Rare Book Department and then as a Reference Librarian in the department of Prints and Photographs.
