Training Paraprofessionals for Expanding Instruction Programs |
Jessica Bell loves being an instruction librarian.
She loves planning for it, thinking about it, doing it and
has had the pleasure of indulging this love in her position at
Lesley University for the past six years. In that time she's
had the chance to work with programs and faculty from all over the university
and to help develop the library's instruction services to serve them. She
is currently assessing their English Composition instruction program to identify
changes and improvements, and the next project on the horizon is to create an
internal training program for library staff. At home she avoids housework
by playing with her one- and four-year-olds and tries to sneak in work on her
many half finished craft projects before falling into bed exhausted
at the end of the day.
